Molecular and Nuclear imaging
Positron Emission Tomography for Cancer Imaging
Medical Informatics and Integrative Medicine
- Positron Emission Tomography (PET) cancer imaging with novel radiotracers for cancer diagnosis and staging, including the use of fusion technology
- Detecting and properly staging existing cancers earlier, specifically prostate cancer
- Determine if PET with anti-(18F)FACBC will lead to improved patient care in the diagnosis and staging of prostate carcinoma and elucidate the mechanism of its uptake within malignant cells
- Facilitate the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for treatment of prostate carcinoma
- Determine if novel PET radiotracers can be used as a proxy in-vivo biomarker for identifying promising therapeutic drugs
